Hey, Nevadans!
Growing up as a cold-prone child, a doctor recommended to my mom that I should get the flu shot in the fall. And it did help reduce how often I got sick! If you’re unsure or indifferent to getting the flu shot this year, check out this Q&A.
In other news: We’ve been hearing all summer how it’s been an extremely low season for Las Vegas’ tourism. So much so that the Culinary Union is naming it the “Trump slump.” Read all about what they had to say.

This article reminds us of important information and answers top-of-mind questions, such as “Will the flu shot be readily available this year?” (Answer: All signs point to yes.)

Josefina Hurtado, a food server at Westgate Resorts and small business owner, works two jobs to save money to put her children through college. She says she’s been hit hard by a “Trump slump” since early February.
Hurtado, a single mother of three, is concerned about her quality of life and future, especially as she approaches putting her children through college.
She was one of roughly 50 Las Vegas hospitality workers gathered at the Culinary Union headquarters for a rally about President Donald Trump’s policies and their effect on the local economy. They issued a warning about the “Trump slump” in Las Vegas, citing slow work shifts, early restaurant closures, and reduced traffic on the Las Vegas Strip.
