“The Kane Springs Fire has burned 5,793 acres, mostly short grass and brush, after it was discovered just before noon on Wednesday … BLM said crews, engines and aircraft are engaged in suppression efforts. The Grapevine Fire has burned 3,949 acres, according to an update Thursday morning. It’s in the Clover Mountain Wilderness Area about 10 miles southeast of Caliente.”
