UNLV will be added to the Vegas Loop transit system, which is operated by The Boring Company and owned by trillonaire Elon Musk. The Vegas Loop uses Teslas to shuttle passengers through underground tunnels around and near The Strip. Students opposed the expansion to UNLV, and despite community pushback, the Board of Regents approved the measure on June 22.
