Reno resident presses city leaders over Spanish-language wildfire alerts

NBC News 4 Reno captured the exchange at a public safety meeting focused on the Hawk Fire, where a resident pressed city leaders on the lack of Spanish-language emergency information. City officials acknowledged the gap and said improving communication with Spanish-speaking residents is now a priority. Reno is urging residents to use Smart911, which allows users to set a preferred language so emergency alerts can be delivered in Spanish.
