Recovering gambling addict sounds alarm on “microbetting”


According to prevalence studies from UNLV, about 15% of Nevada adults are defined as problem gamblers, with 21% of regular gamblers falling into the most severe risk categories. Recovering gambling addict and public health researcher Harry Levant testified before the Senate Commerce subcommittee calling for oversight while stressing that the latest industry development known as “microbetting” poses an even greater risk of abuse and harm.
