Rainbow Company Youth Theatre presents Disney’s “High School Musical”

Check out our local talent taking on High School Musical, following the story of star athlete Troy and shy science whiz Gabriella who audition for the school musical and inspire their classmates to follow their dreams.

Self-guided Full Moon Hike (reservation required)
Friday, Sept. 25, 7-10 p.m. (Valley of Fire State Park)
Tealights will lead you through the Rainbow Vista Trail on this self-guided full moon hike. To reserve your spot, send the following information to kwolfe@parks.nv.gov: Name, number of cars in your group, your requested arrival time(s) in order of preference from these options: 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 9 p.m. (Regardless of arrival time, all guests must be back in their vehicles by 10 p.m.)
Confirmations will be sent on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Bring a flashlight with a red, blue, or green setting, water, comfortable shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing. Park entrance fee (Per Vehicle): $10 for Nevada residents.
Saturday, Sept. 26, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (Las Vegas)
Come to the Windmill Library and enjoy a talk by Jason Martell, from the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens,” a screening of an UFO documentary, an alien costume contest, UFO kids craft station, alien-theme video games, and more. This event is free but space might be limited.
Saturday, Sept. 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (Fallon)
Celebrate the season with a corn maze, pumpkin patch, games and playground, zip lines, scarecrow factory, hay wagon rides and more. You can also select and purchase your own pumpkin. Tickets: $15-$18
Night Hike with a Ranger (registration required)
Saturday, Sept. 26, 6:30-9 p.m. (Fort Churchill State Historic Park)
Join ranger Tom for a nocturnal, easy pace hike (approximately 1.5 miles) at Fort Churchill. Learn about the world of owls, bats, and other critters through an interactive nature walk that will test your night vision and challenge your senses. To register, call (775) 577-2345.
Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out. Bring weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable, closed-toe shoes, water, insect repellent, and red light flashlight. Park entrance fee: $5 per vehicle with Nevada plates.

Explore more than 50 local artists, makers, retailers, unique finds and handcrafted goods, food trucks, treats, and specialty drinks at Craig Ranch Park.
