UNLV President Keith Whitfield said the university made the decision to move forward with its winter commencement ceremonies in order to “celebrate our graduates’ academic dreams fulfilled.” Approximately 2,300 students graduated during the winter commencement ceremonies. “I think they would have wanted us to celebrate our achievements,” UNLV graduate Chloe St. George said of the three professors who were killed. “I think this is a great way to honor them as well.” #unlv #unlvstrong #nevada #lasvegas #graduation
