Southern Nevada water pipeline bill passes U.S. Senate, headed to president’s desk
The Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act, introduced by Nevada Democratic U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, directs the Department of the Interior to grant the Southern Nevada Water Authority rights-of-way for the construction and operation of a 40-mile water pipeline beneath the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area.

Who’s eligible for NV Energy $63M overcharge refunds? What to know
The refund is limited to residents of multifamily properties such as apartments, townhomes and condominiums who were “inadvertently billed under single-family rates,” according to NV Energy. Only multifamily residents were affected by the rate misclassification, according to NV Energy, which means no refunds are due to residents of single-family homes.

Taxable sales for cannabis in Nevada declined in the last year
Nevada’s cannabis industry reported nearly $758 million in taxable sales for the fiscal year from July 2024 to June 2025, according to the latest data from the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board and the Nevada Department of Taxation.
