Your weekly guide to taking action in Nevada (June 12-18)

A weekly roundup of Nevada events, protests, canvasses, meetings, and community gatherings happening across the state from Friday, June 12, through Thursday, June 18.

From Las Vegas and Reno to Carson City, residents can attend rallies, tenant outreach events, planning meetings, voter trainings, and community gatherings focused on local issues and civic engagement.

Here’s our weekly round-up of upcoming events and actions:

Friday (June 12)

Coffee & Community for Reproductive Freedom
(Las Vegas, 2 p.m.)
Residents can meet with the #Fight4HER team for a casual conversation about reproductive rights and community organizing.

Saturday (June 13)

Stand Up Saturday
(Las Vegas, 9 – 11 a.m.)
Indivisible Las Vegas will gather near Boca Park for a Saturday rally with signs, music, water, and community discussion.

Summit for the End of the World
(Reno, 9 a.m.)
Indivisible Northern Nevada will host a community gathering for residents involved in local organizing, advocacy, and civic work.

Tuesday (June 16)

Tyranny Tuesday – Shut Down ICE Detention Centers
(Reno, 10 – 11 a.m.)
Participants will gather outside the federal courthouse in Reno for a weekly rally focused this week on ICE detention centers.

Wednesday (June 17)

Rent Stabilization – Interim Committee Hearing
(Las Vegas, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
The Nevada Housing Justice Alliance will attend an interim Commerce and Labor Committee hearing focused on rent stabilization.

Know Your Rights Canvass
(Las Vegas, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
PLAN volunteers will canvass in central Las Vegas to speak with residents about housing conditions, tenant rights, and landlord accountability.

Biggest Little Action Group: June Planning Meetings
(Reno, 6 p.m.)
Biggest Little Action Group will meet to discuss upcoming community actions and local organizing ideas.

Thursday (June 18)

Get Out The Vote/Canvassing Training
(Carson City, 5:30 p.m.)
Indivisible Carson City will host a training focused on voter outreach and canvassing ahead of the November election.
