Se busca protección de especies en peligro de extinción para raras flores silvestres del norte de Nevada.
El Centro para la Diversidad Biológica solicitó (petitioned) al Servicio de Pesca y Vida Silvestre de EE. UU. que proteja una planta rara llamada “Carson Valley monkeyflower” en virtud de la Ley de Especies en Peligro de Extinción.
