Lizzie Ramirez is The Nevadan’s political correspondent. She grew up in Las Vegas and got her degrees at the University of Nevada, Reno. She jumpstarted her journalism career during the 2024 presidential election, where she was a political correspondent for Teen Vogue and gathered voter data for the New York Times.
Since then, she’s covered politics, higher education, data centers, flock cameras, LGBTQ+ rights and more. Her reporting has appeared in Teen Vogue, The Salt Lake Tribune, The Nevada Independent, and This Is Reno among other outlets.
