Paiute Spring Festival

Experience Pow Wow dancers, bird singers, local demonstrations, art workshops, and Native art vendors at The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin! 

 

Skate & Swap – Women, Trans, and Non-Binary

Join the Las Vegas Astronomical Society in celebration of International Astronomy Day at Skye Canyon’s 11th Annual Skye & Stars stargazing event (10111 W. Skye Canyon Park Drive) with picnicking, music, lawn games, food trucks, and constellation viewing after dark. This is a free, family-friendly event.

 

Fiesta Futbolera Del Niño

Saturday, April 25, 2-6 p.m. (Las Vegas)

Come ready to play soccer and for a day full of family-friendly activities at Gary Reese Freedom Park (850 N. Mojave Rd.) There will be free toys for the first 1,000 children, live music, face painting, cultural dancing, and a magic show.

April 23-25

A three-day celebration at the University of Nevada, Reno (1335 N Virginia St.) that brings together world‑class jazz artists and rising student musicians in a non‑competitive, immersive setting. Buy tickets online

 

Sagebrush to Sandstone: Spring Haiku Workshop

Saturday, April 25, 1-2 p.m. (Reno)Join Nevada Humanities for a workshop on the history of haiku and draft your own haiku inspired by nature. This workshop will take place at the Historic Huffaker Schoolhouse at Bartley Ranch Regional Park (6000 Bartley Ranch Rd) and is open to participants of all ages and skill levels. Space is limited; registration in advance is required.

 

[Around the Table] A Journal Crafting and Writing Workshop

Sunday, April 26, noon-2 p.m. (Reno)

Whether you love to craft, enjoy journaling, or have never tried either, allow your creativity to flow through communal crafting and personal reflection at the Horan Pavilion at Lake Mansion Arts and Cultural Center (250 Court St). Journals and crafting supplies will be provided; participants are welcome to bring their own journals and supplies. Space for this event is limited, and registration is required. 

 

Community Clean up Green up

Saturday, April 25, starting 8 a.m. (Spring Creek)

This is a great way to get involved and give back to your community. Sign up as an individual volunteer, as a family or as a group so we can plan a place for you to help clean! Meet at the Spring Creek Horse Palace (670 Bronco Dr.) Free lunch will be served following the event.

Online registrations are due by April 22.
