This Friday on October 11th at Springs Preserve, The Nevadan / El Nevadense is hosting Climate Impact & Nevada’s Path Forward, a FREE event! Join us for an afternoon of discussions on the impact of climate change in Nevada and how advocacy leaders and policymakers are tackling this issue. Discover what actions we can take to secure a sustainable future for our state. 

Following the programming will be a reception with food and beverages provided!

Building a Clean Energy Economy

Senior Political Correspondent of The Nevadan / El Nevadense, Casey Harrison, will moderate a discussion with Nevadan advocacy leaders about how Nevada has been able to uniquely take advantage of IRA funding and Bipartisan Infrastructure programs to help families, workers and unions in creating a clean energy economy and environmental justice for all Nevadans.

Climate Challenge & Solutions w/ Attorney General Ford

The Nevadan / El Nevadense National Correspondent, Victoria Leandra, will sit down with Attorney General Aaron Ford to discuss climate challenges in Nevada including water conservation of the Colorado River, extreme heat, and air quality. Discussions will revolve around how these issues disproportionately impact Latino communities and what Nevadans can do to help solve for these problems.
