“One job should be enough!” That’s the rallying cry for the Culinary and Bartenders unions, which have set a strike deadline of Feb. 2 for 7,700 Las Vegas hospitality workers employed by a range of hotels and casinos, including Circus Circus, Treasure Island, and Hilton Grand Vacations. If the unions and the companies fail to reach a deal by Feb. 2, the workers will go on strike. Workers are fighting for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. “I am a mom of three daughters and I was able to raise my children and not have to worry about medical bills if they were ever sick because I have the best health care. Now, I’m fighting to protect my benefits and win a fair wage increase,” said Maria Polanco, cashier at Rio and Culinary Union member for 20 years. #lasvegas #culinary #culinaryunion226 #culinaryunionstrike #bartenders
