Valley High School social studies teacher Brooke Wheatley has been named the 2027 Nevada Teacher of the Year, recognizing her dedication to her students and the teaching profession. Wheatley says she takes pride in being a role model, mother figure and support system for her students. Now, she’ll represent Nevada’s roughly 27,000 educators as an ambassador for education across the state. Watch her reaction and hear what the honor means to her.
