From Las Vegas and Henderson to Reno, residents can attend rallies, public meetings, voter outreach events, tenant rights canvasses, and community gatherings focused on local issues and civic engagement.

Here’s our weekly round-up of upcoming events and actions:

Friday (June 5)

Fight Fascism Fridays
(Henderson, 9-11 a.m.)
Participants will gather near the corner of Horizon Ridge and Eastern Avenue for the final Fight Fascism Friday in Henderson before the summer break.

Make Your Voice Heard at the PUCN Consumer Session
(Reno, 12:30-3 p.m.)
Nevadans can attend an in-person Public Utilities Commission of Nevada consumer session to share concerns about energy bills, extreme heat, and utility costs.

Community Voting Celebration and March to the Polls
(Las Vegas, 5-7 p.m.)
PLAN Action will host a community voting event with a march to the polls ahead of Nevada’s primary election.

7 Days in June Candlelight Vigil
(Las Vegas, 5-7:30 p.m.)
SEIU Nevada Local 1107 will hold a candlelight vigil tied to the national 7 Days in June movement, honoring communities affected by HIV/AIDS and health care cuts.

Fight Fascism Fridays Las Vegas
(Las Vegas, 6-8 p.m.)
Indivisible Las Vegas will gather near the federal courthouse downtown for its weekly Friday rally.

Register Democrats to save the world
(Las Vegas, 6-7:30 p.m.)
Volunteers will meet for a short training before heading to the First Friday Arts Festival area for voter registration outreach.

Saturday (June 6)

Handmaids of Las Vegas Stand at Clark County Detention Center
(Las Vegas, 6-8 p.m.)
The Handmaids of Las Vegas will gather outside the Clark County Detention Center as part of a recurring demonstration focused on immigrant rights.

Sunday (June 7)

Breakfast Program: Ending Right to Work in Nevada
(Las Vegas, 8 – 9 a.m.)
SEIU Nevada Local 1107 will host a breakfast program focused on labor issues and right-to-work laws in Nevada.

Tuesday (June 9)

Primary Election Night Party
(Las Vegas, 7:30-9 p.m.)
PLAN Action will host an election night gathering after polls close, with snacks, early results, and information about general election plans.

Wednesday (June 10)

Know Your Rights Canvass
(Las Vegas, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.)
PLAN volunteers will canvass in central Las Vegas to speak with residents about housing conditions, tenant rights, and landlord accountability.

Tenant Rights Community Meeting
(Las Vegas, 6-7 p.m.)
Residents will meet at the PLAN office to discuss landlord issues, housing conditions, and tenant organizing efforts.

Thursday (June 11)

CBHN Committee Meeting: How to Share Your Story Online
(Private location, 6-7 p.m.)
Chispa NV will host a digital organizing training focused on helping community members share their stories online.
