A bill recently introduced by US Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nevada) would expand federally-funded vocational programs and scholarships at local community colleges and technical education schools. That, Rosen said, would help developers build new single- and multi-family homes more quickly and help alleviate markets with housing shortages and a demand bottleneck like Las Vegas.
“For the past few years, we’ve made historic investments in our infrastructure, building our rods, our bridges, installing broadband,” Rosen told The Nevadan during a recent sit-down interview. “We need labor to do all of that.”
