A weekly roundup of Nevada political events, protests, advocacy opportunities, and ways to take action statewide from Thursday, Feb. 27, through Thursday, March 5.

Want to get involved this week? You can attend voter registration drives in Las Vegas, rallies in Henderson and Carson City, community discussions in Reno, and union phone banking efforts tied to contract negotiations.

Here’s our weekly round-up of upcoming events and actions:


 

Friday (Feb. 27)

Lake Las Vegas: Ask Alexis Anything
(Private location, 9:30-10:30 a.m.)
The campaign for governor candidate Alexis Hill will host a meet-and-greet focused on policy issues and voter questions. Registration required for address details.

Fight Fascism Fridays Henderson
(Henderson, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.)
Indivisible Las Vegas will hold a rally at the corner of Horizon Ridge Pkwy and Eastern Avenue as part of its recurring Friday series. Organizers state the event will follow nonviolent guidelines and local protest rules.


 

Saturday (Feb. 28)

Solidarity Saturdays
(Carson City, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.)
Indivisible Carson City will gather on the public sidewalk at Legislative Plaza for a biweekly rally focused on civic engagement and accountability.


 

Tuesday (March 3)

Tyranny Tuesday – Justice Applies to All
(Reno, 12–1 p.m.)
Indivisible Northern Nevada will hold a rally outside the Bruce R. Thompson Courthouse and Federal Building centered on accountability and equal application of the law. Organizers note the event will follow nonviolent participation guidelines.


 

Wednesday (March 4)

1 Million Rising INNV: Courage Connection Conversation
(Reno, 4–6 p.m.)
Indivisible Northern Nevada will host a community discussion at the Sierra View Library focused on civic engagement and organizing strategies.

HCA Contract Bargaining Phone Banking
(Private location, 3 p.m. and additional times)
SEIU Nevada Local 1107 will host phone banking sessions to update members and build participation around ongoing contract negotiations. No prior experience required; scripts provided.
